8/13/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved Behavior: Upon arrival to the home, Ms. Broadnax appeared to be in a positive mood evident by her facial expressions such as a smile on the face. Ms. Broadnax did not present any symptoms of SI or HI at the time of the of the session. Intervention: QMHPA assisted Ms. Broadnax with identifying and implementing useful conflict resolution skills that can assist with avoiding conflicts by using calming/ relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, walking away, active listening, positive eye contact and appropriate responses. QMHPA used role-playing to assist Ms. Broadnax with processing effective means of resolving conflict. QMHPA shared personal experiences with Ms. Broadnax to help her identify connecting with family members, developing new peer relationships and spending time in social settings. QMHPA assisted Ms. Broadnax with identifying and implementing change that is positive, manageable and reasonable for all involved though behavioral management. Response: Ms. Broadnax shared that she continues to need help with being able to talk to people and responding as well. Ms. Broadnax acknowledged there are areas in her life that challenge her. Ms. Broadnax was encouraged to use calming and relaxation skills taught. Ms. Broadnax was supported for her agreeing to use those calming techniques when needed for resolving conflict. QMHPA encouraged Ms. Broadnax to use self-monitoring, continue developing positive affirmations and using positive self-talk. Ms. Broadnax appeared receptive to learning and developing strategies such as self-control, self-talk that is positive, problem solving, relaxation techniques and thought- stopping to help manage her behaviors.
